How We Choose Rescue Organizations for Unleash Pet Fest

We love supporting local animal rescues and believe in giving different organizations a chance to benefit from our festival each year. Here’s how we make our selections:

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, a rescue must:

• Have non-profit or charity status (animal-related)
• Have a local or regional focus
• Align with our festival's values and purpose

The Selection Process

1. Returning Rescues: Any rescue that participated as a vendor the previous year is automatically entered into a random name picker.
2. Community Involvement: If extra spots open up, we invite our social media community to nominate their favorite local rescues. These nominees are then included in the random selection process. Rescues can also add their names to our waitlist.
3. Rotating Beneficiaries: Each year, we rotate the selected rescue to ensure different organizations have the opportunity to benefit from our fundraising efforts.
4. Transparency: Once the selection is made, we share the details of our process on our website, social media, and at the festival itself.

By following this process, we ensure fairness and keep our mission focused on supporting as many rescues as possible.
